You wake up in the morning after a long and hard yesterday, with hopes of downloading a movie and POOF! The downloading speed is like 10 K bps/sec when it should have been 200 K bps/sec. It takes you 3 hours to download a movie. Something that usually gets done in an hour. And the movie size happens to be just 200 MB. There.. the fist thing you do in the morning takes a toll on your patience and good mood.
At least you be glad that its surprisingly cool in the morning when you wake up. But the moment you enter your room, you regret getting your hopes high as the temperature there seems to hold all the heat of the house coz you always keep the door and the windows closed. For two major reasons.
1. Early at 6 am in the morning, the ice shredder which the sea food export company opposite to your house has, starts its job. And when they throw huge chunks of ice in it, it emits thunderous sounds while attempting to shred the ice blocks. Do you have any reason to wake up to its unpleasant, pain in the ear and head sound? Obviously not.
So the windows are almost always closed.
2. Your younger sister, who’s enjoying her summer vacation to the max, wakes up at 10 am just when you are about to start studying for the semester exams which are like in two week’s time, switches on the T.V and has no consideration whatsoever to keep the volume down. Your poor nerves snap. SLAM! There..door’s closed. Windows shut tight. Peace at last.
After a few minutes.. its starts getting stuffy and sweaty and you curse everyone around, close the books, sit in front of you monitor and vent all your frustration by typing each and every word vehemently and violently. The keyboard’s already dwindling life span will soon become a stuff of endangered existence.
And after this, you finally find a secure enough spot in your house, away from all the nerve wrecking noise, only to find its your grandmother’s room. Trust me, my grandmother is not the sort you get in fairy tales. She’s got so much to complain about every little thing in this world. Staying with her is a challenge to your sanity. Of course, she can be nice sometimes though.
Phew.. Every individual has a limited resource of patience per day. And mine for today , is on the verge of burning out!
