SCARRED

I just watched “The Christmas Carol’ and the only thing good about the movie were the 3D effects. I don’t exactly remember how the movie started but I’ll never forget the way they stacked dialogue after dialogue. Even Mount Everest with all its glory shrunk to insignificance. My ears were screaming for help but my brain had already become numb. The relentless screaming and out of the blue thunderous sound effects kept nullifying every attempt I took to doze off. Rendered temporarily deaf now and then, I planned and plotted the many ways to make sure my friend pays for causing me such mental trauma.

Coming out of the theater, we spotted a couple (origin: Definitely not India) ballroom dancing. Even though I was only able to catch a glimpse, it was a sight for sore eyes. Expressions of love such as these are generally considered taboo here. A trip to Spencer’s ensued.

Diet.

The one word I fear and despise the most.

Sandwiches.

I’m beginning to hate them.

I ended up ordering sandwiches and it tasted so plain that I vented my anger by taking apart every vegetable that was stuffed inside, pouring sauce all over those clumsy pieces of bread, threatened to throw those horrible raw tomato slices into my friend’s strawberry milkshake and finally, drained of energy, started munching.

One movie was all it took to give me a major headache. And sometimes, movies such as these make me feel like I’m scarred for a lifetime. Lol!
