GREEN TEA & OATS

I’ve failed countless times at making drinkable green tea and after months of trial and error I’ve found the ONE out of which I can make hey-this-doesn’t-taste-that-bad-even-though-I-keep-messing-it-up green tea.

Its Twining’s green tea and lemon ^_^

Even today I can hardly make a bearable tasting tea but I think the lemony flavor cancels out the bad taste (x_x) that I usually manage to bring out . I’m sticking to Twining’s for the moment though I’m going to try out the other brands too :)

Next up !!!

Endless attempts to finish my bowl of oats!

At first I used to make it as a thick porridge but it was difficult to chew and swallow because of its bland taste... then I threw in fruit pieces (veggies were a huge no no) and juices, VOILA! It became edible! I’m trying my best to substitute one meal per day with oats but sadly, it doesn’t seem to be working out very well :( Nevertheless, I shall continue to persevere till my senses accept their destiny!! (Tyranny...Tragic...) Currently I’m trying out Saffola oats, they had some introductory offer and I brought it ^_^ I was having Quaker earlier and… all oats taste the same I guess.. O_O

You could try this fun, sweet way of enjoying that bowl -
boil da oats, for a minute or so, n then, when it's a bit like porridge, add a few spoons of milk powder(or liquid milk) and a spoon of chocolate horlicks(or anything like it) and stir it well, keeping it on da fire while da powder dissolves..you could add sugar IF you feel it's that necessary...believe me, it tastes just grrreat! :)

As to green tea, da usual correct way of making it is usually this -
heat up da water until u see da first few bubbles rise - don't let it boil. Then, just add a pinch or maybe two, of da leaves, and if it's a tea bag, don't let it stay for longer than 30-50 seconds. then, just remove da leaves(with a strainer)n u should drink it straight away...apparently, this is when da green tea has it's best effects, and since the taste won't be that different to hot water, it wouldn't be that hard to drink either :)
