ACCIDENTS, WORKOUTS AND WORKLOAD! PHEW!!

My bus rammed into a car this morning!!! It was another driver who was driving our bus and on the Adyar-OMR road junction a Tata Indica fell prey to the monster behind it a.k.a my coll bus. Of course, within seconds there was a huge crowd and our bus driver was in a big mess. And yeah, luckily, there was just the driver in that car. If there were anyone sitting in the back seat, they’d been fatally injured. Not to mention the bike that got hit by the car and I saw the bike guy falling off his seat and crashing headlong onto the road. If it weren’t for his helmet, his head would have cracked open!

Apart from that, I almost missed my breakfast and got to class late. Classes were boring, the staff in a mad rush to finish the syllabus. So it was just the OHP and slide after slide X_X and the lab classes were absolute HELL!! One minute we were doing 8086 μP and the next minute it was 8051. Had no clue what happened in between @_@

The guys got bugged of the OHP and after lunch it didn’t switch on and the staff couldn’t figure out what the hell was wrong with it. So he called the blocky and he found out that the fuse has been removed. Seriously, a staff couldn’t even figure out something which a guy who can’t even speak English could. And they are from ECE dept, teaching us. Don’t know where WE are gonna end up in. This was better than last time where the guys put a duster inside the OHP and the whole thing blew up!! X_X

I came home and did a couple of workouts and decided to blog a bit :D (as you can see, M making it a point to write in ma blog everyday so that my friends will know what’s going on at ma end :) ) after which I shall go and finish off record work, manuals and ma fav, μP!!! :P

Here’s to Kandee, who inspires me a lot and my never ending IchiRuki madness!! :D

Kandee!!

Keep smiling guys!!! Have a great tomorrow!! :)

STUDY HOLS!!

DAY ONE:

M gonna take two days off from coll to study the subjects I dint even realize were in this semester :P and while I do so, I start thinking of the college tour that’s gonna follow right after the exams (hopefully). And the first thing I wanna do is get myself a decent camera X_X Been on face book since morning and dozed off while studying at night. Did turbo jam workout and it felt great! On the whole dint do anything useful except sort out my winter wear and turbo jam of course.

DAY TWO:

Ow ow ow.. my whole body hurts!! That turbo jam workout is the culprit I say! Its 8am and I just downloaded a bleach OVA, The Sealed Sword Frenzy. Gonna watch it now and then start studying for numerical methods a.k.a maths.

Its 9.15am now and I finished watch bleach. It was awesome and funny. Just what you can always expect from it.

Its 7.30pm. Exam got postponed coz the state government declared a holiday. So gonna start studying for Saturday’s exam. Saw a few bleach pics to upload in facebook. And M gonna start sketching!! :D

M feeling weird all of a sudden.. Guess I don’t like studying this subject. It just doesn’t make any sense!! And the staff teaches us as if we know everything! He so totally #@$%^& &* @## !!!! Phew.. there.. I feel much better now. Hopefully I should be back to myself by tomorrow morning.

Diamonds and stones

Thursdays and Mondays see the maximum number of absentees in my class. People find various reasons (throat check up, eye checkup, have to go to the dentist, dermatology treatment, BONE CHECKUP!! etc etc.) so that they don't have to sit through 7 hours of theory classes(7 hours..sounds scary right? very scary..). Teachers find all the more reasons to make sure they come all the periods. Not a single one is left free. At the most, I manage to remain conscious for an hour. after which I simply.. doze, till the siren sounds for break.

The first period starts and the lecturer comes. And my classmates who read this wont fail to identify him. The moment he started talking we knew.. arrears in this subject for sure. And as days went by we confirmed that it was no good listening to the class. y? here is a small incident that happened during his class that will be good enough an answer.

As usual he came in, talked something we dint understand and started drawing circuit diagrams on the board. we were totally utterly annoyed with his teaching that we all started talking . The noise increased and at one point he banged the duster on the blackboard (this act of his annoys us the most..) and he shouted something like "have doubt?", at least that's what i think he said (cant understand a word of what he talks!!). and my friend yelled back " JUST TWO! WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU SPEAKING AND WHICH SUBJECT ARE YOU TEACHING??!!" and he couldn't tell who said that coz the laughter that erupted after that deafened him.

Honestly, it still amazes me on what basis they selected him as a teacher. And we have many reasons why they should chuck him out like they chuck us out when we do something against the rules.

1. he doesn't know the subject he teaches. he doesnt remember what comes after what. he just stands there on the Dias, blinks and scratches his ear n says"forgot".

2. he doesnt know maths and doesnt do any of the derivations correctly.

3. his circuit diagrams on the board are so minuscle that even those of us sitting in the first bench cant make out what the hell he'z drooled on the board.

4. and the english he speaks.. dunno where he learnt to speak like that.. havent understood a word of it till now..

5. he pronounces assume as "ashume" and writes the same on the board and logarithmic as "logairthmic" and writes the same on the board.

6. we are forgetting the Queen's language listening to him.

My friend is so damn sure that he takes alcohol every morning before he starts teaching. "thats why he talks like that, u know. he'z in a state of confusion mixed with calmness, the perfect and right explanation for not being able to draw diagrams and remember derivations and theory!.", says my friend and i have to say, many agree with her.

If such people teach us, how do they expect the students not to listen to their i pods or comment rudely?? People like him are the sole reason for us students developing extraordinary skills of sarcasm, commentary and rudeness.

BUT, there are a few teachers who make us listen to them with undivided attention and we develop a bond that lasts forever.. diamonds among the stones.. they are those who keep us going through the rest of the day with their fun filled talk and understanding nature.. says my friend, " a teacher is the one who understands his/her students. anyone who doesnt give a damn to what they feel or think are just there for the money they get to earn and not for the actual purpose of teaching. people like them dont deserve to be treated with the respect that teachers should be coz they are clearly not one."
u can count on what she says, her parents are lecturers.

Hats off to our teachers who are holding a special place in our hearts and minds for their unforgettable teaching methods.. and above all for being more than just teachers to us.. we love you for being our good friends and sharing all the fun we had and are having.. :)

We don't drive fast. We fly low!!

Yup. You read it right.

Welcome to JCE Airlines (to be read as my college buses). One among the few things that add spice to our everyday monotonous lives. Traveling by our coll bus, one is assured the thrill of their life as these
JET buses swerve in and out of the traffic trying to reach their destination , namely, my college, on time. At first I was amazed n dazed by the speed and was thrilled. As time passed by I learnt to draw circuit diagrams n write my records and assignments in the bus (a life saving skill that is) . One simply cannot doze of in these buses like they do in the MTC or other buses coz it requires highly developed skills such as :-

* trying not to bang your head on the metal rails at the back n front of the seats as the driver applies brake to avoid sandwiching the poor vehicle in front.

* ignoring the ever increasing roar of the bus engine.

*pretending to be deaf as the driver leans on the horn till he finds the road devoid of vehicles.

And last but not the least ,appreciating the just nature of the drivers who dont show partiality and treat every bump n pit n speed breaker on the road as equals and drive on them with constant speed.

Assignments- Then n Now

Assignments.. the dreaded word to all the 'human beings' studying in my coll.. During our first year we were loaded with them.. they came in all sorts of names and sizes.. physics, maths, chemistry, devices, circuits.. ranging from a mere 4 pages to a brain cramming 30 pages.. and the worst part was we had to WRITE them! using multicolored pens!!!

We braved our first round of assignments by proudly writing it ourselves..no copying, believe me! though it was time consuming and very frustrating... and when the second came, like everyone else, i deleted honesty from the list of a thousand words i remember for my everyday use. A honest and sincere hostellar would complete the assignment and then.. it would be a mad stampede to that tiny xerox shop under the stairs in my coll. we copied. Blindly. Almost every single assignment through our first year.

Life's become a little cozy, now that I'm in my second year. They said we could take printouts for assignments. The Heavens finally showed us a ray of hope.. An assignment that took an entire day to complete takes only a couple of hours now! i just completed my EVS assignment on AIDS, Women and Child welfare etc. Started at 11am , the printout is ready in my hands by 12.30pm :D

Kudos to the human mind and the technology it invented! :)

Things said and not done...*sigh*

May 28th..the much awaited day of the year has finally come by and gone.. completed the first year of my college successfully . The exams were a disaster though, which reminds me of the resolutions and things I planned to do at the beginning of the year and yeah, u guessed it right, didn't manage to go get them done. For example that 'I will study hard and get 90%' plan went down the drain when I had to write exam after exam, every month. I got bored and lost interest. And along with it, went my so many other plans (I cant remember what they are O_O but I do know I made a big list X_X).

Second year is going to start in 5 days and I haven't given up hope yet. I've got another list coming and am determined to stick to it ... very determined.. The last few months had taught me lessons that I'm not likely to forget. And yes, with the lessons learn't comes a more mature and a more responsible ME :)

My soul, is so much more free then it was back then. I am free to love, free to hate.

5. settle in a comfortable position at your desk
6. have a wonderful nap
7.wake up at noon to lunch

Wonderful world of maths

Tomorrow is my engineering mathematics model exam.. and i don't know what it is about maths that amazes me.. seriously.. There are so many formulas that i don't know which to apply where.. else, i conveniently forget them and of course they make sure to make an appearance in the paper..
life's so unfair sometimes.. and the vast portion that one has to cover... ten chapters... ten HUGE chapters.. full of integration and differentiation.. did i mention that I'm completely clueless at calculus?

**sigh**

even if i do remember the formulas and the methods that i should opt to arrive at the answer, I'm confident that I'd go wrong in the integration part.. when will i ever learn??

Merciful God... please save me and the one who's going to evaluate my paper...

Amen.

Writing...writing..and more writing..

why?? why?? WHY??!!!

why do we have so much theory to write and write during exams??

why do we have so much to mug and reproduce as such for these exams??

why cant we just have the practicals and be done with it??

i really dont understand...

to be continued..

Cool!! :D

Who would have thought??

That my class would get their second OD in a short span of one month?? for those of you who do not what an OD is, it stands for Office Duty.. a person who gets OD should stand in front of the director's office or in front of their department or wherever they ask you to, for a few days, a week or even a month! depending on the mischief or rather the crime the person does.. and of course, the term 'person' here not only refers to the student community as we realized today, but also to the lecturers and other working staff..

Right, now... what did my class guys do that landed them in OD? simple, they put the duster inside the projector (don't ask me how..they did it.. besides, we have the brains in my class..) and it burned emitting a lot of smoke in the progress, i heard.. and they wanted to prove true the saying "unity in diversity" (though i don't know how it applies to this situation) so they refused to tell who committed the crime.

This got them the OD and they were made to stand in front of the department, two days in a row.. teachers were stunned, some were welcoming them back, some were highly displeased with this and so on... as the first years, we set an example to the other departments who are now vying for the position of trouble makers in chief :D

Thus , our already famous class, once again proved that they are the 'GETHU'. very innovative thinking! well done guys!! you have done us proud! :D

Heaven after hell..

hmmm.... lemme tell u a bit about my school life... ten years of it was heaven..the last two years was nothing but hell. so when I was enrolled in this institution where I'm currently doing my studies, I was told by several people thats its quiet strict and it would be no different from the school in which I did my 11th and 12th. I was depressed.. yes, and people told me stories about my college that sounded really scary..all those stringent rules...all those severe punishments that were meted out to those who dared to break them... the strict dress code and the most popular "Thou shall not talk to the opposite gender" :D

Well, what do you know?? things turned out to be quite different. My college was not like how it was rumored to be. And now, it is my home away from home... where I enjoy life to the maximum.. :)
